Abstract
This research aims to present a diagnostic vision of the knowledge society within the context of a knowledge-based economy by reviewing various theoretical concepts and their interrelationships, including data, information, knowledge, and the distinction between information and knowledge societies. It explores the sources of knowledge and the evolutionary stages of transitioning toward a knowledge society, followed by an examination of its fundamental dimensions and the core features and characteristics of the knowledge economy. Furthermore, the study addresses the concept of knowledge resources and their relationship with related constructs, alongside the role of business organizations in navigating the challenges of a knowledge-based economic landscape. Finally, the research provides a forward-looking analytical vision for the Arab world amidst the prevailing challenges of the knowledge economy.
