يمثل الذكاء الإقتصادي مجالاً معرفياً حديثاً كان وما يزال محور العديد من الدراسات والأبحاث ومنها هذا البحث الذي تناول الذكاء الإقتصادي ودوره في تعزيز الأمن الوطني العراقي - دراسة تحليلية، وانطلق البحث من مشكلة مفادها ان هناك علاقة تبادلية وتشابكية معقدة بين الإقتصاد والأمن الوطني، فلا أمن دون تنمية إقتصادية ولا تنمية إقتصادية بدون أمن، وفي وضع مثل وضع العراق الذي لايزال يعاني من الصراعات والنزاعات وآثار الحروب فضلاً عن الأوضاع غير المستقرة في محيطه الإقليمي لا يمكن تحديد إتجاهات تلك العلاقة الا من خلال توافر معلومات دقيقة ومؤشرات ومعرفة تامة بالواقع وإمكانية إستشراف الإحتمالات المستقبلية
