تعد موضوعة الإغراق في عالم اليوم واحدة من الموضوعات التي تشكل عقبة تقف أمام عجلة النمو لبعض البلدان، كما وتستحوذ دراسة الإغراق على إهتمام كبير من قبل المختصين لما لها من دور وأثر كبيرين في نمو إقتصادات الدول إذ غدت موضوعة الإغراق حقلاً تدور بين جوانحه الكثير من الإجراءات والقوانين... وقد تم اللجوء من قبل الكثير من دول العالم إلى مكافحة الإغراق
(Anti-Dumping) بإعتباره سلاح ردع يحد من أثر الإغراق ويمنح القطاع الزراعي المحلي الفرصة للنهوض والتنامي وبذا يحتل هذا الفرع من الإقتصاد الدولي أهمية خاصة وتتمثل في نفس الوقت بأنها مسألة مهمة تتكفل بها منظمة لتجارة العالمية على المستوى الدولي وهيئات ومنظمات متخصصة على المستوى المحلي .
