تحظى تكنلوجيا النانو Nano Technology )) منذ ان استهلت البشرية الفيتها الثالثة على اهتمام وترقب غير عاديين وذلك من قبل متخذي القرار في حكومات دول العالم ومؤسساتها البحثية ودوائرها الانتاجية لاسيما بعد تشريع الكونجرس الامريكي قانون(المبادرة الوطنية لتكنلوجيا النانو في الولايات المتحدة الامريكية) وتخصيص مبالغ طائلة لدعم هذه المبادرة ، يهدف البحث الى تسليط الضوء على مفهوم تكنلوجيا النانو والتي تعد تكنلوجيا القرن الحادي والعشرين، وتبيان أهميتها الاقتصادية ومن أجل الوصول الى أهداف البحث فقد تم تقسيم البحث على عدة محاور وقد خصص المحور الاول لاستعراض مفهوم تكنولوجيا النانو، اما المحور الثاني فقد ناقش الأهمية الاقتصادية لتكنلوجيا النانو اما المحور الثالث فقد تطرق الى واقع تكنولوجيا النانو في العراق واخيرا فقد توصل البحث الى عدد من الاستنتاجات والتوصيات.
