تعد مشاريع تربية النحل من اهم مشاريع الأستثمار الزراعي كونها تدر ارباحا كبيره في مده وجيزه فضلا عن تعدد منتجاتها ومزاياها الاقتصاديه الاخرى وقد استهدف البحث دراسة الجدوى الاقتصاديه لمشروعين احدهما قائم في ناحية المشروع / محافظة بابل منذ عام 2006 مبتدأ بعشرة خلايا والثاني مقترح مبتدا 100 خلية نحل باستخدام معايير البنك الدولي :
اظهرت النتائج ان مشاريع تربية النحل مجديه اقتصاديا سواء كانت صغيره ام كبيره , وان معدل العائد الداخلي فيها يفوق اسعار الفائده في السوق بثلاثة اضعاف واكثر . وحتى عند تحليل حساسية المشروع للتغيرات التي ممكن ان تحدث في اسعار الناتج والموارد من خلال زيادة التكاليف وانقاص الايرادات بنسبة 10% فانه يبقى مجديا اقتصاديا , لذلك من الضروري دعم الدوله مشاريع تربية النحل وتوفير التسهيلات اللازمه لها من اجل تنمية الريف واستغلال طاقات الشباب وتشغيلها في مثل هذه المشاريع فضلا عن تعدد منتجاتها وفوائدها الاقتصاديه الاخرى وتشابكها مع الصناعات الاخرى.
