ان الغرض من موضوع البحث هو تحديد الاحتياج المائي الحقلي لمحاصيل احد المشاريع المختارة وتحديد ضائعات النقل وفق معادلات علمية ثابتة قياسية معتمدة (عالميا) والتوصل إلى المقننات المائية الكلية وإعطاء صورة عن مقدار الهذر في مياه الري والمساحات الإضافية التي يمكن زراعتها فيما لو توفرت الإمكانيات والإدارة الصحيحة لاستغلال المياه بالشكل الأمثل .
