إن تحديد وكشف الأسباب التي تؤدي إلى مشكلة عدم الإنجاب تعد من الأولويات التي يهتم بها الأطباء والباحثون إذ إن تحديدها وكذلك تحديد أولوية الأسباب المؤدية لها يمكن أن تساعدهم في الكشف المبكر عنها ومحاولة معالجتها، ومن هنا تأتي أهمية هذا البحث الذي يحاول تحديد بعض المتغيرات وبيان مدى قوة تأثيرها في مشكلة عدم الإنجاب وذلك من خلال تأثيرها في زيادة أو نقصان أعداد الحيوانات المنوية النشطة عند الرجل كونها المسئولة عن حدوث عملية التلقيح وبالتالي حصول الحمل عند المرأة وقد تم الاستعانة بآراء الأطباء والمختصين في تحديد هذه المتغيرات وقد تم استخدام نموذج انحدار توبت (Tobit Regression model) لتحديد هذه المتغيرات وبالاعتماد على عينة عشوائية قوامها
