من المعلوم أن التجارب المقامة بتصميم المربع اللاتيني غالباً ما تقام لمرة واحدة في موقع واحد وفي موسم واحد إلا أن هناك حالات تتطلب ان تنفذ نفس التجارب في مواقع مختلفة او في مواسم (فترات زمنية) عديدة وذلك بهدف دراسة التفاعلات بين المعالجات والمواقع او بين المعالجات والمواسم (الفترات الزمنية).
في هذا البحث تم تقديم فكرة إقامة التجارب المتشابهة في مواقع مختلفة وكذلك في فترات زمنية (مواسم) عديدة بتصميم المربع اللاتيني تسهم في تقديم إسهامات في مجال تصميم وتحليل التجارب. إذ تم التقديم نظريا لعمل المخططات العامة والنماذج الرياضية لهذه التجارب وكذلك الاشتقاقات الخاصة لتوقع متوسط المربعات ((EMS لكل مصدر من مصادر التباين وصولاً إلى جداول تحليل التباين المركب التي تستخدم في التحليل الإحصائي لهذه التجارب.
