يهدف البحث الى استعراض مفاهيم الكفاءة المصرفية وعلاقتها بالاداء والانتاجية والفاعلية ،وكذلك تحليل الكفاءة المصرفية من وجهة نظر الاقتصاد الجزئي .
ومن اجل تحقيق اهداف البحث فقد تم توظيف الطرق البيانية، القياسية والرياضية لاشتقاق المفاهيم المختلفة للكفاءة المصرفية. وتبين ان هناك اسلوبين رئيسين يستخدمان لقياس الكفاءة المصرفية الاول يسمى بالاسلوب الحدودي العشوائي، وهذا الاسلوب يعتمد على الاساليب المعلمية اما الاسلوب الاخر فيسمى بتحليل مغلف البيانات وهو يعتمد على الاساليب البرمجة الرياضية .
